Schaumburg, IL - August 9, 2016 – Audiology Systems and GN Otometrics recently announced that its long-running continuing education program, the annual VNG/ENG Course (known as “The Barin Course”) will be held at the Allerton Hotel in Chicago, Illinois on October 19-21, 2016.
“In this course, we strive to cover the fundamentals of vestibular testing and bring all the participants up to date on the latest findings, theory and clinical best practices,” says Kamran Barin, Ph.D. and Assistant Professor Emeritus in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and Department of Speech and Hearing Science, at Ohio State University. “This course will give participants the practical knowledge – so they can return to their clinics with a better understanding of VNG/ENG testing and how to implement it successfully with their own patients and clients.” Dr. Barin facilitates the VNG/ENG Course, a comprehensive three-day course will provide practical information necessary to make the VNG/ENG test, video head impulse, and other commonly used vestibular tests an effective part of the diagnostic process. Dr. Barin has been serving as an educational speaker on balance disorders, in conjunction with Audiology Systems and Otometrics, for more than 15 years.
When combined with the 4-hour Impulse Training Course facilitated by Dr. Kristen Janky (October 21), attendees can earn up to 2.1 CEUs. Impulse training includes hands-on training for video head impulse testing (vHIT) with the ICS Impulse.
