Company Bringing New Customer-Focused Business Model to Industry.

Schaumburg, ILL., August 2012 - Audiology Systems Inc., a national partnership of industry professionals, audiologists and local audiology and vestibular instrument experts, announced today that it has been named the exclusive distributor for GN Otometrics (MADSEN, AURICAL, ICS), Intelligent Hearing Systems and Noise Barriers. Audiology Systems will take on sales and service of these three leading brands in more than half of the U.S. and will introduce a new business model devoted to delivering a better customer experience.

Audiology Systems' business model is based on three core principles: professionalism, consultative dialogue and accessibility. The company will focus on a streamlined portfolio of high-end, modern products. By focusing on a streamlined product portfolio, Audiology Systems' professional staff will be able to provide more product expertise and personalized support that will set the standard in customer care.

Audiology Systems also is committed to becoming an extension of its clients' practices and to establishing an ongoing consultative dialogue that will facilitate meeting their training, guidance and resource needs. The company is already raising the bar on accessibility by taking remote services to a new level. Audiology Systems will offer remote product training, a live chat function online and remote access to troubleshoot and provide systems updates. Additionally, the company will offer a two-year warranty on select products.

Audiology Systems has assembled a team of industry veterans that will be led by Michel Jurgens, general manager. Jurgens joins Audiology Systems from GN Otometrics, where he most recently was manager of sales, audiology & marketing at GN North America. In his eight years with Otometrics in Denmark, he was tasked with integrating more customer insight into the product development process and focused on customer relationship-building in his pivotal roles in product management, global sales management and as head of GN Otometrics launch and marketing communication.

"We saw an opportunity to rethink the traditional instrumentation distribution model - the old-fashioned 'one-stop shop'," said Jurgens. "Audiology Systems will provide hearing and vestibular professionals with a new, modern option, dedicated to providing them with the best possible customer care and to supporting them as true partners, who are committed to their success."

Audiology Systems invited select independent distributors to join the company as partners and shareholders. Inter-Med Technologies, based in Freeport, New York, was among the first to join.

"When I was first approached by Audiology Systems, I was immediately impressed with their idea to create a new distribution model centered around the concept of complete customer care," said Steve Nowakowski, president of Inter-Med Technologies. "I am very excited about this new partnership and I believe we are going to dramatically improve the way our industry does business."
