Company Brings Acousti-Medical Instruments and AudioMed Inc. Onboard.

Schaumburg, IL. - January 09, 2013 – Audiology Systems Inc., a national partnership of industry professionals, audiologists and local audiology and vestibular instrument experts, recently announced that two well-known independent distributors have joined the company.  Acousti-Medical Instruments, led by John Brewer and headquartered in northern California, and AudioMed Inc., led by John Buswold and headquartered in southern California, are now operating as Audiology Systems.  Brewer and Buswold are now shareholders in the Audiology Systems partnership.  Both will remain with the organization and will report directly to Michel Jurgens, general manager of Audiology Systems.

Brewer’s organization, formerly Acousti-Medical Instruments, will maintain its current office and staff and will provide sales and service throughout northern California and northern Nevada.  Buswold’s organization, formerly AudioMed Inc., will also maintain its current office and staff and will provide sales and service throughout southern California and southern Nevada.

“Bringing these two stellar distributors, with their top-notch teams, into Audiology Systems is a big win for everyone involved,” said Jurgens.  “Audiology Systems can now offer an unprecedented level of customer care throughout California and Nevada.  And the customers we service throughout those regions will benefit from the additional resources Audiology Systems will provide to support their businesses.  As Audiology Systems continues to expand, it is extremely important to bring in seasoned industry experts, like Brewer and Buswold, to shore up our foundation and set the stage for growth.  We are very glad to have them onboard and believe they are great additions to the team.”

John Brewer

Brewer brings more than 35 years of experience in the vestibular and hearing industries to Audiology Systems.  He founded Acousti-Medical Instruments in 1980.  Brewer is a highly trained technical expert across platforms and manufacturers. His dedication to excellence in sales, service and consulting has resulted in multiple “Dealer of the Year” awards for his organization.  A veteran of the United States Air Force, Brewer began his career as an electronic technician.

“What attracted to me to joining Audiology Systems was their clear commitment to taking customer care to the next level,” said Brewer.  “Putting the customer first, and providing them with the best service possible, has always been my mission.  Being part of Audiology Systems, and having access to all its resources for supporting our customers in every aspect of their business, I know we will be able to act as more consultative partners moving forward.”

John Buswold

Buswold joins Audiology Systems with more than 25 years of sales and management experience in the medical equipment and technology industry.  Most recently, he was owner and president of AudioMed, a leading distributor providing sales, service, calibration and support to the audiology community.  Prior to his leadership role at AudioMed, Buswold served as national sales director for a worldwide manufacturer of audiology equipment.

“The approach that Audiology Systems incorporates -- a more professional, consultative sales approach -- has been the benchmark at AudioMed for years.  So this was a very easy decision for me,” said Buswold.  “The new direction that Audiology Systems is taking will be of great benefit to everyone, especially the customer.  Working together, we will have a more uniform and streamlined approach that will allow us to deliver a superior customer experience throughout our region.  We are really looking forward to the future.”

As of today, both Acousti-Medical and AudioMed are officially operating as Audiology Systems.
