Audiology Systems and Otometrics Announce New Dates for Must-Attend Hands-On Training Series in 2016

New hearing and balance care courses available at 0.7 CEUs, registration opened January 4, 2016.

Schaumburg, IL | January 2016 Audiology Systems, a full-service, U.S. distributor of GN Otometrics products; and other leading audiology and vestibular equipment, recently announced new dates for the 2016 Hands-on Training Series. This series is composed of several 7-hour courses focused on clinical best practice and the latest technologies in fitting, head impulse, evoked potential (EP), and videonystagmography (VNG). Each course is offered at 0.7 continuing education units (CEUs). Two of the courses, ICS Impulse® and AURICAL® hands-on training, are now open for registration.

According to Audiology Education Manager Kathleen Hill, AuD, “At Audiology Systems, we continue to build on the educational foundation that ICS® established over many years. Audiologists must stay current on the latest in patient care and research. We address this need by offering courses that provide comprehensive, extensive, convenient and affordable options.” Hill continues, “In addition to our existing course offerings, our dedicated team of audiologists develop new courses based on clinical best practices. February 19, 2016: The 7-hour Hands-on Impulse Training will be available for audiologists, ENTs and healthcare professionals who perform head impulse testing to assess the dizzy patient. With the release of the latest version of ICS Impulse – the scalable solution now including all test modules. 7-hour Hands-on Impulse Training ad

March 22, 2016: The 7-hour Hands-on AURICAL Training will focus on the practical application of probe microphone measurements (PMM) and the hearing instrument test (HIT) box. This hands-on workshop extends on the concepts introduced in our FittingNOW! series. Key training areas include practical application of the instruction and demonstrations that incorporate the latest technologies in hearing instruments. Participants will learn to perform these techniques using the AURICAL® FreeFit PMM unit and HIT box. View course details at: www.audiologysystems.com/auricaltraining.
