Seasoned professionals in the fields of audiology and operations strengthen the Company’s leadership team.
Wakefield, Mass., January 16, 2014. Lantos Technologies, Inc. developers of the AURA™ 3D Ear Scanning System today announced that it has expanded its team to include Dr. Brian Fligor, Chief Audiology Officer, Lynn Ihlenfeldt, Vice President of Manufacturing, and Dr. Andrew McGrath, Global Training Manager. These leaders’ contributions will be invaluable as Lantos enters the commercial phase.
Prior to joining Lantos, Dr. Fligor was Director of Diagnostic Audiology at Boston Children’s Hospital and Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School. Renowned for his research in hearing loss prevention from noise, music and invasive medical treatments, Dr. Fligor has extensive experience fitting hearing aids, ear plugs and monitors for children, adults and musicians. At Lantos, Dr. Fligor will direct the clinical studies on the AURA System and drive product development for a wide range of applications.
Ms. Ihlenfeldt, honored in recent years by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal as one of 25 women industry leaders in the Twin Cities, has an extensive medical device background. Beginning her career as a U.S. Naval Officer, Ms. Ihlenfeldt has served in a wide variety of technical, management, and executive roles with 3M, Minnetronix, and Linear Eye, LLC. As Vice President of Manufacturing at Lantos, Ms. Ihlenfeldt Is assembling a world-class team to manufacture the AURA system and will drive all aspects of operations and product manufacturing.
Dr. McGrath, most recently Director of Audiology at Women and Infants Hospital and Clinical Instructor at Brown University, will develop and direct Lantos’s training program. Roles as a lecturer at Yale University and as a researcher on numerous projects, combined with his extensive clinical and student mentoring experience will enable Dr. McGrath to build a strong, client-focused training department at Lantos.
