Audiology Doctoral Students Enjoy ReSound University

Bloomington, MN, MAY 22, 2008: ReSound presented a program designed for audiology doctoral students and faculty May 14 - May 17, 2008 at its manufacturing facility in Bloomington, MIN. In attendance were 40 doctoral students, representing 16 doctoral programs and three Audiology Foundation of America directors as guest speakers. Participants attended presentations and hands-on workshops relating to current hearing instrument technology, software applications, custom manufacturing processes, counseling and education, market trends, and career and professional. Attendees also had their own hearing devices made and were able to practice shell modifications. The program not only offered an excellent educational experience for the attendees but also offered an opportunity to network with other students, their future professional peers. ReSound and AFA have jointly developed this program to further their commitment to fostering the education and training of audiologists. A second "ReSound University for Audiology Students" program will also be held in December 2008. Applications will be available in September through AFA and ReSound websites.
