The Audiology Awareness Campaign® (AAC) is proud to announce the Fifth Annual "Listen Up America"® Week, National Hearing Screening Week, May 14th through 18th, 2012. This week-long event provides opportunities to raise awareness about hearing loss and hearing loss prevention and to promote treatment that can improve the quality of life for those who experience hearing loss.
Audiologists around the country will offer free hearing screenings during Listen Up America Week. In 2011, the AAC was featured in 851 internet articles and 41 newspaper articles throughout the country promoting the event.
Consumers will be directed to the AAC website: www.audiologyawareness.com or the AAC hotline 888 833-EARS to find an audiologist in their area. Consumers will then contact your office to schedule an appointment during this week. AAC will promote this nationally and audiologists that participate will receive camera ready materials to promote in their area.
