The Association of Medical Professionals with Hearing Losses (AMPHL) is pleased to announce the 2nd annual conference will be held on July 20-21, 2002 in Miamisburg, Ohio (south of Dayton) at the Holiday Inn. Presentations will run from 9am-6pm both days. Travel and lodging information may be found on the AMPHL website at www.amphl.org. Further details will be posted as they become available.
The popular stethoscope display is returning. Professionals can test the stethoscopes side-by-side. It is estimated that by the year 2008, more than 450,000 medical professionals who use a stethoscope may experience hearing loss.
AMPHL is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide information, advocacy and mentoring for individuals with hearing loss working in health care fields. Fields represented are human and veterinary medicine, nursing, pharmacy, optometry, psychology, dentistry and audiology.
