The Association of Adult Musicians with Hearing Loss will host their inaugural and hearing-accessible* conference. It promises to be an exciting event for adult musicians with hearing loss. We believe losing your hearing does not mean losing your music. Day 1 (Friday, May 29) of our 2-day conference will provide opportunities to:
- hear from inspirational musicians who have integrated hearing loss into their musical lives
- develop new techniques for playing or singing with a hearing loss
- learn more about useful assistive technologies for playing or performing music with a hearing loss
- and last but not least, make music! The day ends with a benefit concert.
Day 2 (Saturday, May 30) is open to all consumers who have hearing loss. We will learn about:
- disability policy affecting consumers who have hearing loss from Lise Hamlin
- the 9 Guiding Principles of the Hearing Loss Revolution with Pat Dobbs
- managing stress when you have a hearing loss with Dr. Sam Trychin.
Join us for this special gathering. You will come away with life-changing ideas and tools.
*real-time captioning and a hearing loop will be available during this conference.
