Continued Growth Fuels Expansion.
Schaumburg, ILL., April 25, 2013 – Audiology Systems Inc., a national partnership of industry professionals, audiologists and local audiology and vestibular instrument experts, announced today that it has expanded its national sales team with the addition of one new regional sales manager and three new account executives. Significant sales growth in several territories created the need for additional staff.
“The Audiology Systems approach to rethinking the way distributors do business is really taking hold across the country and the demand for our products and services is steadily increasing,” said Michel Jurgens, general manager of Audiology Systems. “We recently added some exceptional professionals to our sales team so that we can continue to provide customer care that exceeds all expectations.”
Peter Duke has joined Audiology Systems as a regional sales manager in Georgia and Alabama. In this newly created position, Duke will have oversight for all sales activities in the Georgia/Alabama region. He reports directly to Jurgens. Duke joined Audiology Systems from Widex USA where he was regional sales manager. Prior to that, he was regional performance manager with Starkey Group. Duke holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Faulkner University, in Montgomery, Alabama.
Melinda Alegria joined the company as an account executive and will cover Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska and Hawaii. She will report directly to Alex Carlton, regional sales manager. A clinical and practicing audiologist since 1995, Alegria joined Audiology Systems from SoundCure, Inc., in Lacey, Washington, where she was a clinical practice support specialist. Alegria holds a doctor of audiology degree from Arizona School of Health Sciences, a division of Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. She earned her master of science degree in Audiology from the University of South Alabama and a bachelor of science degree in communication disorders from Colorado State University.
Scott Fonseca is now an account executive with Audiology Systems and will work in California and Nevada. He reports directly to John Buswold, who recently expanded his role with the company by accepting the position of regional sales manager for California and Nevada. In his previous position, Fonseca was a territory manager, in the Sacramento Valley region, for ACell Biologics, Inc. He brings to the team 12 years of collective experience in the healthcare industry as a clinical product specialist for Kimberly-Clark Healthcare and Covidien Healthcare. Fonseca holds a bachelor of science degree in marketing from San Diego State University.
Mike Messick has joined the company as an account executive and will cover Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan and West Virginia. He will report directly to Wendy Switalski, who also recently expanded her role with Audiology Systems by taking on the position of regional sales manager in Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia. Previously, Messick was manager for the EMS Division at J&B Medical Supply, Inc., in Ohio. Messick holds a bachelor of science degree in health and human services and business from Ohio University.
In addition to Buswold and Switalski taking on expanded roles with Audiology Systems, John Brewer, who joined the company in the beginning of the year, also recently accepted the position of regional service manager for California and Nevada. Brewer will report directly to Chris Dean, national service director.
