15.05.2007, Stäfa, Switzerland --The Hear the World initiative enters a partnership with musician and photographer Bryan Adams who photographs famous ambassadors such as star tenor Plácido Domingo and the British soul singer Joss Stone to raise awareness for the importance of hearing and the consequences of hearing loss.
In addition to Plácido Domingo and the Vienna Philharmonics who have been supporting Phonak in educating the general public on the topic of hearing right from the start of the Hear the World initiative, further stars agreed to become ambassadors for this worldwide initiative, among them the British soul singer Joss Stone as well as the US singer and producer Moby. The artists photographed by Bryan Adams, the initiative's official photographer, will appear in advertisements and on the cover of the Hear the World magazine designed to introduce its readers to the different aspects and the fascination of hearing through a mix of culture and lifestyle. Music serves as a universal medium to raise awareness for the topic of hearing. "I'm interested in the goals that Hear the World is trying to achieve and I support them a hundred percent", says Adams. "As a musician, I'm naturally sympathetic to a cause whose purpose is to help people appreciate and preserve an individual's sense of sound".
