Washington, D.C.: At the organization’s annual member meeting in May, American Cochlear Implant Alliance (ACI Alliance) membership elected a new Board Member.
ACI Alliance welcomes Brittney Sprouse AuD, PASC to the Board of Directors. Dr. Sprouse is a pediatric audiologist and director of the audiology department at The University of Chicago Medicine. Dr. Sprouse’ s interests include cochlear implants; diagnostic evaluations; electrophysiology; amplification, including hearing aids, osseointegrated devices, and assistive listening technology; early intervention; outreach, and education.
The members of the ACI Alliance Board of Directors reflect the diversity and mission of the organization by including surgeons, audiologists, speech-language pathologists, educators of children with hearing loss, and other professionals on cochlear implant teams or from school settings, as well as parents and consumers. The Board of Directors exercises all corporate powers
and manages the business and affairs of ACI Alliance. They establish program priorities central to its core mission while providing oversight of all activities carried out in support of its mission.
ACI Alliance is a not-for-profit membership organization created with the purpose of eliminating barriers to cochlear implantation by sponsoring research, driving heightened awareness and advocating for improved access to cochlear implants for patients of all ages across the US.
