Washington, D.C.: American Cochlear Implant Alliance (ACI Alliance) recently announced details for an in-person conference in Washington, DC in May 2022.
CI2022: Emerging Issues in Cochlear Implantation covering issues relating to CI in children and adults will take place May 18-22. The conference will feature plenaries as well as three concurrent sessions to allow attendees to pursue a wide array of cochlear implant and related content. As was the case in prior conferences the program offerings will be of interest to clinicians from across the care continuum, scientists, educators, and others on cochlear implant teams.
Following the success of the CI2021 virtual conference, ACI Alliance will explore how to incorporate new virtual elements; it is anticipated that presentations and seminars will be in-person. The abstract submission site will open in August for those interested in giving podium and poster presentations.
Selected advocates will advance our priorities at ACI Alliance on the Hill, during which Alliance members will meet with Congressional offices to discuss benefits of cochlear implants and access concerns. An application to participate in the Hill events will be announced later this Fall.
CEU and CME will be offered from the same providers that have been available in the past and Tier 1 hours for audiologists will be offered. A Certificate of Attendance will be available for all attendees.
ACI Alliance is a not-for-profit membership organization created with the purpose of eliminating barriers to cochlear implantation by sponsoring research, driving heightened awareness and advocating for improved access to cochlear implants for patients of all ages across the US.
