(Mclean, VA) - All the good work The American Academy of Academy does directly or indirectly affects your patients. So it's no surprise that when it comes to changing legislation and influencing members of Congress, the policy makers want to know how change will affect the consumer.
The Academy is in the process of forming a Consumer Council to help us with these efforts. We need 2-4 volunteers from each state who are either hearing impaired or who have family members (children, spouses, parents) who are hearing impaired and willing to write letters, call legislators and get involved with the policy making process.
