Alliance with Hearing Instrument Consultants Strengthens Oticon's Business Support Framework

Somerset, NJ March 23 - Oticon, Inc. today announced that the company has formed an alliance with Hearing Instrument Consultants (HIC) that will expand and strengthen Oticon's business support network. The Costa Mesa-based HIC brings more than 30 years of sales experience and a reputation for outstanding training and customer service, focusing on support for customers in the Western US.

"Oticon's commitment to empowering modern hearing care providers means that we must continually challenge ourselves to build and strengthen a framework of support that anticipates the evolving needs of our business partners and their clients," said Oticon President Peer Lauritsen. "We will all benefit from access to HIC's expertise and experience as we develop new sales and business support initiatives going forward."

HIC will continue its focus on support for the company's loyal customers in the Western region. The new alliance will not impact existing Oticon business partners whose current sales and support teams will remain unchanged.

In the past decade, HIC founders David Majit and Gary Dorf have grown the HIC organization to include sales representatives, inside audiologists, customer service representatives and marketing and training specialists. The organization's 15-member staff will continue to work out of the company's Costa Mesa, California headquarters.

"Oticon's investment in audiology, technology, counseling and fitting and business support -four key competencies that benefit both the clinician and patient - has enabled Oticon to lead the way in innovative solutions that empower hearing care professionals to build successful outcomes for their patients and their practice," HIC President David Majit. "We welcome the opportunity to join with them in providing our valued customers with access to Oticon's comprehensive portfolio of products and support services."
