Seminole, Florida- The American Institute of Balance Education Foundation announces the creation of an Advanced Institute. Workshops for the Advanced Institute are designed for those professionals who have previously taken The Institute's workshops, or desire advanced training in vestibular evaluation and rehabilitation protocols. The first Advanced Institute workshop will be Video-Oculography (VOG), March 1-3, 2001. This three-day on-campus workshop is especially designed for experienced clinicians who are utilizing infrared video recording equipment, the latest technology in vestibular function testing. The Institute workshop is approved for 1.5 CEU's by the American Academy of Audiology.
During the past six years, The Institute's workshops have trained hundreds of audiologists, therapists, and physicians from around the world in Electronystagmography (ENG), Vestibular Rehabilitation and Vestibular Assessment and Management. Course director, Richard E. Gans, Ph.D. states, ''The new Advanced Institute should provide a higher level of expertise and skill to those who already have a background in vestibular testing.'' Workshops are limited to fifteen participants to facilitate a personal and meaningful learning experience. Anyone interested in receiving more information on the new Advanced Institute Video-Oculography workshop or the other year-round workshops, should contact
