Lafayette, IN - Audiology Foundation of America Director Micheal Hartman, AuD, recently participated in the annual meeting of the Central Association of Advisors for the Health Professions (CAAHP). The CAAHP provides professional development opportunities for health professions advisors through the sharing of information and experiences.
Dr. Hartman gave a presentation entitled, "Audiology: A Doctoring Profession". The presentation provided an overview of the academic and training experience for Doctors of Audiology, the benefits of being a Doctor of Audiology, current AuD programs, as well as statistics about the profession.
According to Dr. Hartman, "The CAAHP attendees are quality professionals who are genuinely interested in assisting college students achieve their professional goals. The AFA appreciated the opportunity to provide academic advisors with information about the AuD degree. We will continue to promote the degree to academic advisors, as well as practitioners and students."
