Thirty-seven third year Au.D. students had an opportunity to attend this year's ADA Convention as the result of $25,000 donated by the AFA to support ADA's Student Outreach Program. The program was developed to encourage students to attend the convention and to allow the ADA to showcase the organization to the students, and expose them to new practice ideas and skills. According to ADA past president, Bob Manning, "With the very generous scholarship that the AFA provided, we managed to pay all the cost involved with the students' participation in the conference this year."
University of Louisville Au.D. student, Katie Shaughnessy, said, "My first ADA Convention was a wonderful experience that would not have been possible without the AFA funding. I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the convention and I look forward to becoming a member of ADA in the future."
