Lafayette, IN - The 7th annual AFA Art Auction will be held Thursday, October 14th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Presidio Rooms at the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf and Tennis Resort. Featured items will include a Russian crystal vase, quilted wall hangings, the artwork of Lynn Angelelli, a weekend at Deborah Price's Texas ranch, hand knitted comforter and sweater, and much, much more. New this year, live music will be provided by "Hearing AID" during the cocktail party prior to the auction.
Participants in this year's golf tournament will play on the resort's Conquistador Course. The course, a recently renovated Greg Nash design, allows the golfer to experience a true desert classic. Within the park-like setting, the golfer is surrounded by natural mesquite and palo verde trees intertwined with vibrant desert flora.

Au.D. Students Benefit from AFA Grant
For a second year, the AFA is providing a $25,000 grant for the ADA's Student Outreach Program to assist 3rd year Au.D. students with their travel expenses so that they can attend the ADA Convention. According to AFA Executive Director Susan Paarlberg, "Attending the ADA Convention helps these students have a better understanding of private practice as a career path by giving them the opportunity to interact with private practitioners from across the country. We are very pleased to be able to provide funding for this program again in 2004."
