In her recommendation letter, Towson Program Director Dr. Diana Emanuel said Carson is "a model student who goes over and above the requirement of the degree."
Dr. Sharon Lesner, NOAC Coordinator, shared similar remarks about Wright. "She is our best and brightest and she also happens to have a passion for audiology."
The Outstanding Au.D. Student Scholarships were established to recognize and support the "best and brightest" Au.D. students. The scholarships are funded by a grant from the Oticon Foundation, also known as the William Demant and Wife Ida Emilie Foundation, and scholarship winners will be honored by the AFA at events held at their universities.
The AFA is a non-profit foundation founded in 1989 to lead audiology's transition to a doctoring profession with the Au.D. as its unique designator.
