Lafayette, IN - This year, the Audiology Foundation of America (AFA) is again offering its "Clued into Audiology" otoscope program for third-year Au.D. students. "Clued into Audiology" will be open through February 18, 2010, and requires students to read several articles and pass a short quiz to earn an otoscope.
All third-year students in four-year Au.D. programs are eligible to participate, and otoscopes will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
Hal-Hen, in conjunction with Widex, has donated approximately $12,000 in otoscopes for the "Clued into Audiology" program this year, which directly assists the AFA in its work to support Au.D. students and the Au.D. movement.
"This is a great program that helps Au.D. students learn something of the history of the Au.D. degree and the people involved in moving that mission forward," said AFA Executive Director Susan Paarlberg. "It gives students a real sense of the personal dedication shown by so many to make the Au.D. dream a reality, and also shows them where the profession needs to focus its energies for the future."
Interested students can find the quiz, and further information, by visiting the AFA website at https://audfound.org/.
