Lafayette, IN - Georgia audiologist Cynthia N. Robinson is the Audiology Foundation of America's (AFA) latest Au.D. scholarship winner. Robinson won an AFA scholarship for $1,000, sponsored by Widex, to pursue her Au.D. degree via distance education.

Robinson is an educational audiologist with the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System in Savannah, GA. She previously held positions at the Savannah Speech and Hearing Center and the Georgia Ear Institute. She holds a master's degree in audiology from the University of South Carolina and will pursue her Au.D. from the Arizona School of Health Sciences.

"As quickly as things change in a field that combines science, healthcare, technology and education, there will always be much to learn," said Robinson. "I hope that completing my doctorate in audiology will allow me to keep current with these changes."

The AFA is an educational foundation whose mission is to empower audiologists to be independent and autonomous practitioners by supporting their educational preparation, professional practice and leadership development.
