Dear Colleagues,
Children with hearing loss present a unique set of challenges to speech pathologists, educators, therapists and audiologists in regards to aural rehabilitation. Newborn hearing screening programs have been successful in identifying infants with hearing loss and continued annual hearing screenings further assist in the identification of hearing impairments in children. However, identification is not enough. Appropriate amplification with sensory aids or cochlear implants followed by therapy services is crucial for promoting the listening, language and speech skills of children with hearing loss.
This one day seminar will focus on the evaluation and rehabilitation of children with cochlear implants. In addition, the CLARION® CII Bionic Ear™ System, our latest cochlear implant system designed to improve the hearing abilities of children with severe to profound hearing loss, will be described. We hope you will be able to join us for this exciting seminar in aural rehabilitation.
Best Regards,
