ADA Opens 2007 Convention Call for Instructional Courses

Share:

The Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA) has opened the submission process for instructional courses at the ADA 2007 Convention, which will be held October 10-13, 2007 in Orlando, Florida. Presenters at the convention will have the opportunity to contribute to peers' learning and the future of the audiology profession.

ADA hopes to provide attendees with in-depth, well-balanced blocks of educational programming. The 2007 conference will primarily feature 90-minute session time slots, rather than 60-minutes, in order to allow for greater depth of content. Where there is sufficient need for more time, two blocks can be combined for a "Part I-Part II" type format. Additionally, presentation applications can be submitted for pre-convention "Day Ahead" all-day workshops (7-hours of instruction each). ADA is particularly interested in reviewing course proposals that will directly benefit member practices and those that are hands-on and/or interactive.

ADA has posted a downloadable information manual and submission application on its web site at www.audiologist.org. You can directly view these documents and other convention information for presenters by clicking here.

A few important notes:

  • Submission applications must be submitted in an electronic format. An application can be downloaded in Word format here. Simply complete the application, save it to your computer and email it in to ADA Education Coordinator, Stacy Hodge at shodge@smithbucklin.com.

  • The deadline to submit a proposal is April 6, 2007.

  • Instructional courses should be limited to one specific Block.
Again, proposals are due by April 6, 2007, and must be emailed directly to shodge@smithbucklin.com.. For further information, contact Stacy Hodge, ADA education coordinator, toll-free at (866) 493-5544 or via email at shodge@smithbucklin.com.
