Washington, D.C.: American Cochlear Implant Alliance (ACI Alliance) will host its annual clinical research conference CI2024: 17th International Conference on Cochlear Implants and Other Implantable Technologies in Vancouver, Canada from July 10-13, 2024. The conference will be held at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
CI2024 Vancouver will foster the exchange of multi-disciplinary scientific information applicable to audiologists, physicians, speech pathologists, psychologists, scientists, engineers, educators, students, advocates, and others involved in cochlear and other implantation technology globally.
Anticipated themes include:
- Global challenges relative to cochlear implant provision
- What can be done to improve CI access to underserved populations around the world
- Working with challenging cases through teamwork
- Promoting cochlear implantation through hearing health
- CI provision at both ends of the age spectrum: Under 6 months and over 90
Abstract submissions will open in mid-August and anyone submitting abstracts must attend CI2024 in person should their abstract be selected as a podium or poster presentation. Submissions on a range of (re)habilitation topics, including listening and literacy and aural rehabilitation for adults post CI, are encouraged. Conference registration will open in early 2024 with early bird and ACI Alliance member registration discounts. CME and CEU credits will be available.
