The Academy of Rehabilitative Audiology (ARA) is pleased to announce the Herbert J. Oyer Student Research Award for 2008. ARA has long supported new investigators and believes this award is essential to encourage outstanding research in the area of audiologic rehabilitation. The student investigator selected to receive the award will present their research at the ARA Institute and submit the work for publication in the Journal of the Academy of Rehabilitative Audiology. The award recipient will receive registration to the 2008 ARA Institute, one year free membership in ARA, and a financial award of $1000.00.
The research study must be in the area of audiologic rehabilitation, which can include research related to: communication strategies, speech reading, auditory speech perception, hearing aids, cochlear implants, counseling, and tinnitus management.
Online submissions will be accepted through June 15, 2008.
