The Academy of Rehabilitative Audiology (ARA) is excited to announce the Herbert J. Oyer Student Research Award competition for 2010. ARA has long supported new investigators and believes this award is essential to encourage outstanding research in the area of audiologic rehabilitation. Students (or recent graduates who completed their research as a student) who have completed a research project are invited to apply. The research study must be in the area of audiologic rehabilitation, which can include research related to: communication strategies, speech reading, auditory speech perception and training, hearing aids, cochlear implants, counseling, tinnitus management.
The award recipient will receive registration to the 2010 ARA Institute in San Francisco, CA, one year free membership in ARA, and a financial award of $1,000. Applications must be submitted by June 30th 2010. Applicants will be notified of competition results by July 30, 2010.
The upcoming ARA Institute is being held September 13 and 14, 2010. Featured speakers include Mark Ross and Arthur Boothroyd.
