Reston, VA - March 29, 2006 - The American Academy of Audiology is pleased to announce the results of this year's election for President-Elect and Board Members-At-Large, whose terms begin July 1, 2006.
Academy President-Elect
Alison Grimes, Au.D. is the Coordinator of Clinical Audiology for UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. Following her term as President-Elect, Grimes will assume the office of President on July 1, 2007 for a one-year term.
Academy Board of Directors
The following three nominees were elected to the Academy Board of Directors for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2006 and running through June 30, 2009.
Bopanna Ballachanda, Ph.D. is the Director of Audiology for Premier Hearing Centers in Albuquerque, NM.
Kris English, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA. She has extensive experience in educational audiology.
Patrick Feeney, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor and Chief of Audiology for the Bloedel Hearing Research Center at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA.
These four new Board Members will join eight Board Members who currently represent the private practice and clinical practice settings.
