Washington, D.C.: American Cochlear Implant Alliance (ACI Alliance) is accepting abstract submissions for its upcoming clinical research conference. CI2024 Vancouver: 17th International Conference on Cochlear Implants (CI) & Other Implantable Technologies will be held in Vancouver July 10-13, 2024.
The themes of CI2024 Vancouver include:
- Successful Pathways to Cochlear Implantation: A Global Perspective
- CI in Single Sided Deafness in Adults and Children: Candidacy, Provision, Outcomes
- Socio-emotional Health in Cochlear Implant Users
- CI Provision at Both Ends of the Age Spectrum: Under 6 months and over 90
- Optimized Models for Cochlear Implant Workflow
- Listening Impacts on Literacy and Learning in Children with Cochlear Implants
- Effects of the COVID Pandemic on Cochlear Implant Outcomes
Abstract submissions are encouraged on these themes and other cochlear implant clinical research topics and will be accepted through October 18, 2023. The conference is in-person and all presenters must register and present at the conference in Vancouver. Abstract submission decisions will be announced in February.
The venue for the meeting is the Vancouver Convention Centre in the heart of downtown Vancouver, easily accessible to hotel accommodations, restaurants, entertainment, retail and recreational options. The conference has contracted with a number of nearby hotels for attendees. Vancouver is situated between the Pacific Ocean and the North Shore Mountains, making its climate temperate in all seasons.
ACI Alliance is a not-for-profit membership organization created with the purpose of eliminating barriers to cochlear implantation by sponsoring research, driving heightened awareness, and advocating for improved access to cochlear implants for patients of all ages across the US.
