AAA Foundation Offers Support to Au.D. Students

Share:

The American Academy of Audiology (AAA) Foundation has recently announced the establishment of their Enable and Assist program which will create a financial endowment to help working audiologists pursue a doctoral degree through regionally accredited academic college and university programs. The program will also assist students currently enrolled in Au.D. distance learning programs.

The Enable and Assist program is funded through a special endowment of the AAA Foundation and was created specifically to help audiologists overcome economic barriers that may keep them from enrolling in a doctoral degree program. The program
is a loan program for qualified audiologists enrolled in graduate programs who need to borrow funds to complete their degrees.

Founded in 1989, the AAA Foundation supports the elevation of the profession to a doctoral level through providing financial support to audiologists seeking doctorate degrees.

Members of the AAA Foundation include D. Creig Dunckel, president; Jerry Northern, ex-officio; Casey Stach, Secretary; Paula Allison, Treasurer; Linda Hood; Lina Kubli; Sue Windmill; Melanie Jones; Robert Sweetow; Bob Traynor; and Gus Mueller. Donations to the Enable and Assist program can be made to AAA Foundation, Enable and Assist Program, 12335 Kingsride; Suite 183, Houston, TX 77024-4166.
