AAA Draft Ethical Practice Policy on Financial Incentives for Industry - Your Input Needed!

The American Academy of Audiology (AAA) has published a new draft policy on ethical practices regarding financial incentives for industry. This draft is an update of the current guidelines issued in 2003. The new draft policy is under review, and AAA members are encouraged to read it and submit their input to the AAA board of directors by August 31, 2008. AAA has created a list serv for this purpose. In addition to enabling members to review and provide input to the draft, AAA has made available a summary of social science research on gift giving, authored by Robert Margolis. Such evidence was considered during the draft of the new proposed guidelines.
