Summer Picnics for Microtia and Atresia Families
The 2018 Ear Community Microtia and Atresia summer family picnics are scheduled for this summer! Please pass this information along to any of your colleagues and appropriate departments who have patients with Microtia and Atresia. The picnics will host FREE events with lunch provided and lots of fun for the kids (balloon makers, face painters, and magician). Families will also have the opportunity to learn about and try on the latest bone conduction hearing devices with Cochlear Americas, Medtronic ENT, Med-EL, Oticon Medical, and Stryker CMF (Medpor). Ear Community summer picnics provide a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together in the same situation, share experiences, and maybe even make a new friend. Representatives from hearing device companies will be available so you can learn more about the latest Baha/BAHS/sound processors and try these hearing devices on if you haven't had the chance to do so already. Representatives from various medical device companies with helpful options for Microtia and Atresia as well as helpful ear reconstructive surgeons, ENTs, audiologists, anaplastologists, and therapists will be preent to answer your questions.
