The 2008 Illinois Academy of Audiology Convention will be here before we know it so mark your calendars! The convention will begin on the morning of Wednesday, January 23 with pre-convention opportunities available and end in the late afternoon of Friday, January 25, 2008. The meeting will be at a new location, the Drake Hotel, in downtown Chicago.
While we are still finalizing our convention program, our tenative schedule is again a varitable "who's who" of the best Audiology has to offer. We will have tracks devoted to practice management, technology, "best practices", rehabilitation, pediatrics, and a new tradition, "Best of Illinois". We will have a seminar on ethics, as well as three Tier 1 educational opportunities. We will have presentations focusing on the VA program, LACE, neurodiagnostics, tinnitus, implantable devices, private practice, vestibular studies, auditory verbal therapy, vocational rehabilitation, aural rehabilitation,. DSL, Early Intervention, auditory processing, worker's compensation, otoxicity and pharmacology, non-audiologists assistants, and hearing aids. ILAA is striving to provide an educational experience that can rival any national meeting.
