News Release---- The National Hearing Conservation Association (NHCA) Scholarship Foundation is pleased to announce the availability of a limited number of student travel awards for the 32nd annual conference of the NHCA. The conference will be held February 15-17 in Savannah, GA. In addition to outstanding technical presentations regarding hearing loss prevention, there will be numerous opportunities to attend in-depth workshops, poster sessions, and discussion groups. The Student Travel Award includes paid registration to two workshops (Feb. 15) and the annual conference (Feb. 16 & 17), plus lunches, social activities, and partial reimbursement of travel expenses. The Award is available to students who are actively pursuing a graduate degree in a discipline related to hearing conservation and who are enrolled at least half-time in an accredited educational institution. Previous recipients of the NHCA Student Travel Award include masters- and doctoral-level students in audiology, human factors engineering, industrial hygiene and public health, from a variety of universities across the country.

The completed application and one letter of recommendation must be received in the NHCA office by December 1, 2006. Students will be notified of results by January 1.
