AutoFit obtains information from the real-ear output and adjusts frequency-specific gain of the instruments automatically until a close match to target is obtained. This procedure, and its accuracy and efficiency, will be discussed. Traditional, as well as proprietary prescriptive targets (previously not available on probe-mic equipment), can be verified within the AutoFit workflow. The procedure is also compatible with simultaneous bilateral fittings—another factor which can expedite the fitting process.
