The benefits of consistent, full-time hearing aid use are twofold: Improve communication in daily listening situations and enhance health-related outcomes. A challenge, however, is that many patients struggle with becoming independent problem-solvers when faced with challenges associated with hearing aid use. Too often, when faced with these challenges, individuals give up and stop wearing their devices or are faced with having to make an inconvenient or undesirable number of return visits to the clinic. This course will demonstrate how two recent advances, Signia Assistant and Telecare, enhance patient-centered care post 60-day acquisition of hearing aids. The course will review data indicating how Signia Assistant and Telecare contribute to improved outcomes beyond the first 60 days of initial hearing aid use.
