This webinar will cover M&RIE (Microphone and Receiver in Ear) technology, an innovative concept that gives hearing aid users the benefit of utilizing their own pinna cues in a small, cosmetically appealing hearing aid. M&RIE has demonstrated a variety of advantages for users including less wind noise annoyance, improvements in localization, reduced listening effort in noise, and better sound quality ratings related to naturalness, clarity, and spatial perception.

Driven by his passion for music, Miguel studied acoustic engineering at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (Spain, 1995—1999). After experiencing the constant deafening sounds of rock concerts, Miguel became interested in the prevention of hearing loss. Hence, he moved to Aalborg University (Denmark) to continue his education as M.Sc. Electronic Engineer with a focus on the use of engineering methods for audiological purposes. In 2010, Miguel completed his Ph.D. in the topic of otoacoustic emissions and their use for early detection of hearing loss.
Miguel joined GN Hearing (Denmark) in 2010 as International Audiologist and Product Trainer, providing audiological and technical support in more than 80 countries. Currently, he works as Product Marketing Manager where he is responsible for the positioning and messaging of new products, aiming to take product features and translate them into tangible benefits that meet customer’s needs
