This course is designed to present new key evidence related to the use of Oticon Ponto 4 Bone Anchored Hearing System in the pediatric population. This course will demonstrate how signal processing in the Ponto 4 (OpenSound Navigator) differs from traditional signal processing strategies, and how these differences open the possibility of signal processing at younger ages.

Lori Rakita, AuD., CCC-A attended University of Wisconsin-Madison and received her undergraduate degree in Psychology. She earned her Doctorate Degree in Audiology from Washington University in St. Louis, where her focus of study was on implantable devices. She has previously worked in hearing aid research and academic settings, during which time she has designed and managed studies related to hearing aid performance, the effectiveness of signal processing, and the needs of individuals with hearing loss.
