We are seeking a Hearing Instrument Specialist (HIS) who has a heart to serve and genuine compassion for patients struggling with the challenges of living with hearing loss.  As a provider for Nilsson Audiology & Hearing Aid Clinic, LLC, you are instrumental in ensuring that patients are receiving exceptional care.  The provider must understand that excellence in patient care begins with a heartfelt commitment to building relationships and trust with patients.

Position Responsibilities: Support the Audiologist in various hearing care roles to provide exceptional patient care including but not limited to:

  • Cleaning and servicing hearing aids
  • Discuss warranty information with patients
  • Gathering a thorough patient history
  • Perform comprehensive hearing evaluations when needed
  • Providing an explanation of results and recommendations that will best meet the patient’s hearing care needs 
  • Providing education to patients through counseling on hearing loss and listening strategies
  • Take ear impressions as needed
  • Order hearing aids and assistive listening devices and send out repairs
  • Hearing aid fitting and verification
  • Assisting with report writing as needed
  • Assist in claim filing as needed

Needed Skills:

  • Must be organized and thorough with excellent time management skills and a desire to complete work in a timely manner
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • A desire to work with an Audiologist to provide what is best for each patient we serve
  • A desire to work independently once fully trained 

Qualifications:

  • The provider must have a Washington State HIS License or the ability to obtain Washington State Licensure. 
  • Present with documentation on education requirements to hold licensure.
  • Must have the ability to be credentialed with insurance companies as a provider 
  • Must have a desire to work in a fast-paced private practice setting serving patients.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base wage of $35-$40 per hour with lucrative incentive/bonus plan following 90-days of employment
