If you are an experienced cochlear implant Audiologist with a very strong background in CI programming, an interest in research opportunities, clinic management, and top-level patient care, this is a fantastic opportunity to join our Cochlear Clinical Services team in one of our clinics! In this role, you will be based in our clinic in the Houston, Texas area.

Your success in this role is measured by your ability to provide oversight and management for the Cochlear Clinical Services audiology team and supporting personnel. You will deliver world-class audiology care which may include suggesting and implementing clinical improvements, regularly ensuring teams are utilizing best practices and that protocols are up to date.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinic operations management to include oversight of PCCs at both locations (Houston and San Antonio), oversight of billing/coding and report writing protocols, and outsourced billing and credentialing services.
  • Patient care to include pre-and-post operative testing, evaluation and programming, patient counselling, upgrade sales and support, telehealth, and amplification recommendations.
  • Support outreach initiatives and marketing strategies to promote clinics and increase demand.
  • Assist clinical team when required with complex patient care issues and research study compilation.
  • Oversee observation program for both clinics, including students and employees.


Key Requirements

To add value to Cochlear in this role you'll be able to meet and demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and abilities in your application and at interview:

  • Au.D. or Masters in Audiology required; Ph.D. preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience as a clinical Audiologist; experience with oversight or management of clinics or clinicians preferred.
  • Previous experience with implantable hearing technology, including programming cochlear implants, and fitting of hearing aids, required. Ideal candidate will have CI program leadership experience.
  • Travel is required up to 30% of the time.
  • Must have strong clinical and people management skills.

  • Pay Range in the United States: $125,000 - $130,000 per year as well as an annual bonus opportunity of 15% of base salary. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
