Landrum ENT serves a large geographic area and offers an opportunity to see and treat a wide range of ear pathologies. Job duties include a full range of diagnostic hearing and vestibular testing, pediatric and adult hearing assessments, as well as dispensing premium hearing instruments.
What You’ll Do:
- Establish rapport with and gather history from new and existing patients, conduct audiometric testing and make recommendations for communication strategies and hearing aids.
- Provide treatments including cleaning ear canal, fitting hearing aids and other assistive devices, conducting auditory training and instruction in speech and lip-reading, fitting and tuning cochlear plants, counseling patients and families, conducting programs in aural rehabilitation and guiding technical staff.
- Fit hearing aids, perform verification measures, and assist with any adjustments, questions or problems.
- Counsel patients and family members.
- Keep supply inventory by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders and verifying receipt.
- Maintain patient records by recording and updating evaluations, changes, progress and treatments.
What You’ll Bring:
- Master’s degree or doctorate in audiology with current state and national certification.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) or eligibility.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to promote effective working relationships with customers, colleagues and vendors.
- Must be able to work with customers in a caring and respectful manner.
