We at Southern Missouri ENT & Allergy are looking for an Audiologist to become a part of our team. Located in the beautiful Ozarks, near rivers and lakes, with a family friendly atmosphere and low cost of living.

Southern Missouri ENT & Allergy is a well-established comprehensive ENT office in West Plains, MO. Our office was founded in 2002 by Dr. Jeffrey Hull, MD and is experiencing considerate growth. Southern Missouri ENT & Allergy and Southern Missouri Hearing Specialists together serve a rural population spanning across several counties. The area offers a large number of outdoor activities including: hunting, fishing, hiking, canoeing, and boating nearby.

Our office consists of an ENT Surgeon, Audiologist, 2 Nurse Practitioners, and 2 Hearing Instrument Specialists with strong community need and low competition. The newly renovated office has new audiology equipment placed in 2024.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate of Audiology degree.
• Current or eligibility for Missouri state licensure.
• Ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of patients.
• Work well independently and within a team environment.
• Exhibit engagement and professionalism with patients and co-workers.
• Demonstrate exceptional communication, diagnostic and dispensing skills.

Compensation and benefits include

• Annual Salary plus commission: $110,000-$150,000 (based on experience)

Requirements

• Assess and diagnose hearing loss and middle ear function using diagnostic tools appropriate to the patient’s age, ability and special needs. Case history, listening needs assessment, test results and progress notes will be documented
• Comprehensive audiometry for pediatric through the adult population, DPOAE, tympanometry, hearing aid evaluation, and hearing aid dispensing.
• Discuss test results and counsel patients about treatment planning and make recommendations for hearing care solutions and options.
• Develop an individualized hearing solution, including selection of hearing aids, earmolds, wireless accessories and supplies. Make ear impressions, ear molds and all necessary measurements to order instruments.
• The fitting process will include fitting, instrument programming, orientation, software modification and repairs as needed.
• Answer patients’ and family members’ questions and concerns.
• Charting of confidential patient testing results.
• Participate in marketing and community education and marketing activities as needed.
• The position will require carpool with our team to satellite clinic in Rolla, MO two days per month.
