A day in the life:
- Build rapport through counseling and instructing patients about their hearing loss and treatment plan.
- Conduct accurate hearing tests and evaluations for patients of all ages.
- Recommend, fit, and dispense proper hearing devices according to the patient’s needs.
- Troubleshoot, repair, service, and clean hearing aids and other amplification devices.
- Handle administrative tasks as needed and complete chart notes for each patient seen.
Qualifications:
- Hearing Aid Dispenser licensure as required by Maryland state law.
- Experience working with several hearing aid manufacturer software and device offerings.
- Excellent written and interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse customer, colleague, and vendor population. This includes listening, sales, and problem-solving skills.
