Hearing Aid Specialist | Burlington Ear, Nose & Throat | West Burlington, IA

Burlington Ear, Nose & Throat is welcoming an experienced Hearing Aid Specialist to join our team of experts.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct audiometric testing and comprehensive hearing evaluations for adult patients.
• Recommend, fit, and dispense hearing aids according to each patient’s unique needs.
• Counsel patients on communication strategies, providing follow up care, hearing aid maintenance and adjustments.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient and provider communication and exceptional patient care.
• Maintain thorough patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Upholds strict confidentiality and exhibits a positive attitude while delivering ethical and compassionate care.
• Travel to satellite locations in Mt Pleasant and Fort Madison.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; AAS or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Hearing Aid Specialist licensure as required by Iowa state law. 
• Iowa state licensure to dispense hearing aids.
• Excellent interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse customer, colleague, and vendor population.  This includes listening, sales, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong keyboard/computer/Audiology diagnostic and hearing aid software and equipment experience.
