Required Education and Experience: Master’s degree or Au.D. required.
Additional Qualifications: Must be licensed by the State of Florida as an Audiologist.
Summary/Objective: Perform diagnostic and hearing aid evaluations within ENT department of Watson Clinic. Provides hearing health solutions such as hearing aids, cochlear implants, bone-anchored hearing devices, hearing protection, and ear mods.
Essential Functions:
- Provide comprehensive diagnostic audiological evaluations to both children and adults. Obtain case history. Pure tone audiometry, speech audiometry, immittance testing, VRA, play audiometry, DPOAEs, adult hearing aid evaluations/fittings, bone-anchored hearing aid evaluations, and cochlear implant evaluations, activations, follow-ups.
- Provide test results, recommendations and appropriate referrals to patients, parents, referring physicians, and other professionals as needed.
- Provide clinical management for obtaining, verifying, fitting, dispensing hearing aids, hearing aid repairs and other services. All hearing aid manufacturers serviced.
- Cochlear implant and bone-anchored implant services; candidacy evaluations, activation, follow ups, repairs, etc. Manufacturer trainings and meetings as needed.
- Proficient in use of EMR; documentation, report writing, and billing (EPIC, CounselEAR, NOAH). Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Outlook).
- Work with licensed audiology assistants to assist managing the needs of hearing aid patients and other needs for operation of the Hearing Center.
- Attend meetings as required by department.
- Other duties as required.
