We are looking for a Dispensing Audiologist for a busy two location Private Practice; Thousand Oaks and Oxnard California. The position is flexible for individuals seeking either full or part time employment. Our mission is to give patients the honest hearing healthcare they deserve.

 

Primary Function

The Dispensing Audiologist works with two other Audiologists and is responsible for administering diagnostic audiological and vestibular tests, and to provide amplification and possible cochlear implant services to children and adults using best practices.

 

Roles / Responsibility

  • Comprehensive diagnostic and videonystagmography (VNG) testing
  • Counsel patients and family members regarding test results
  • Complete documentation, reports of diagnostic and treatment services
  • Coordinate care with outside providers
  • Provide hearing aid dispensing including selection, fitting, ear molds acoustics, ongoing management with follow-up and education/counseling
  • Hearing aid assessment testing, real ear measurements and live speech mapping
  • Sell appropriate hearing care products and warranties as deemed necessary to meet the needs of the patient
  • Perform hearing aid repairs, checks and cleanings
  • Assessment for candidacy of cochlear implantation and cochlear implant pre and post implant services
  • May also be involved in marketing and public outreach, including community events, lunch and learns, health fairs, senior living events, etc.
  • Uphold professional, ethical, and legal standards in all services provided
  • Maintain confidentiality of all business and patient information
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures

 

Qualifications

  • AuD or Masters Degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Must have current California Dispensing Audiology License or be eligible for licensure
  • Clinical experience preferred
  • Audiology diagnostic, hearing aid software and equipment experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, time management and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as a team, with patients, staff, and providers
  • Ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of patients
