Shohet Ear Associates, formerly known as William House Hearing Associates, is a premier, rapidly expanding private practice specializing in the full spectrum of neurotology, otolaryngology, and audiology services. Located in Orange County, California, we serve both adult and pediatric patient populations. Our three facilities include a world-class medical center in Newport Beach, a medical and surgical center in Seal Beach, and an Irvine office integrated within the Hoag Hospital facility.
Shohet Ear Associates is actively seeking a dedicated Audiologist committed to the highest standards of patient care to join our esteemed team of physicians, physician assistants and audiologists. The ideal candidate will share our commitment to excellence and is authentically motivated to improve patient’s lives through proven and innovative hearing healthcare.
Candidate Qualifications
- Doctorate or Masters Degree in Audiology
- Possession, or be eligible for California State Audiology License
- Possession, or be eligible for California Hearing Aid Dispensing License
- Expertise in contemporary auditory rehabilitation methods, including hearing aid selection, fitting, and ongoing management
- Proficient in effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams, fostering trust and facilitating optimal care outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with physicians, physician assistants, and contribute to the clinical training of doctoral-level students
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and interpret comprehensive diagnostic results related to adult and pediatric disorders of hearing and balance using audiometry, electrophysiology, and/or vestibular assessment.
- Select, fit, and provide ongoing management of hearing technologies, including daily-wear and extended-wear hearing aids, as well as assistive listening devices.
- Implement verification of hearing aid fittings, utilizing Real Ear Measurement (REM) technology to ensure optimal device performance and patient satisfaction.
Preferred Experience (Not Required)
- Experience with middle ear implants and bone conduction hearing devices.
- Proficiency in cochlear implant evaluations, candidacy determination, mapping and troubleshooting, and recommend audiological rehabilitation solutions to optimize patient benefit.
- Specialized expertise in management of tinnitus and hyperacusis, including effective counseling and therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary colleagues to develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients with complex auditory and vestibular disorders.
