Job purpose
As a Hearing Instrument Specialist Technician, you'll play a crucial role in our mission to provide top-tier hearing care. You will assist in selling, fitting, maintaining, and repairing aging instruments. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, customer service skills, and a passion for improving the lives of those with hearing loss.
Duties and responsibilities
The primary duties and responsibilities are as follows, but not limited to:
· Sales and Fitting: Manage the entire sales process, from initial consultation to fitting and customization of hearing aids. Ensure that patients are comfortable and confident with their new devices.
· Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on hearing instruments. Ensure that all equipment is functioning correctly and efficiently.
· Aftercare and Support: Provide ongoing support and follow-up services, including adjustments, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Ensure patient satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
· Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, device fittings, and repairs. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
· Collaboration: Work closely with audiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive hearing care solutions. Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The minimum qualifications for this job are as follows:
· Certification as a Hearing Instrument Specialist or equivalent experience.
· Strong technical skills and proficiency in handling hearing aid devices.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Willingness to stay updated with industry advancements and new technologies.
