Grand Rounds CEU Courses

Hearing healthcare is not a siloed profession and we depend on our network of practitioners to improve the outcomes of our patients. This Grand Rounds presents cases where referrals helped, or would have helped, patients in achieving their best outcomes.

This Grand Rounds, in conjunction with the University of South Dakota, will present cases where an unfortunate event caused an impact on patient care or outcomes. Each case will highlight a different misstep, the implication on patient outcomes, and how the audiologist can improve patient outcomes despite an unfortunate event.

This course will describe the language barriers often faced at an audiology practice in a major metropolitan hospital, and how these barriers are overcome to provide the best patient care. Different specialty areas of audiology will be discussed, including auditory processing disorders, adult amplification, and pediatric cochlear implantation.
