Markus has been in Audiology since 1997, worked in public and private health care settings, and taught University courses in ethics, technology and business. He has co-developed clinic management software, an online portal and has set up self-sustaining remote clinics in Canada, India and Africa. He is passionate about consumer and professional advocacy and is a huge proponent of independent clinical audiology services that are not part of large corporate chains or buying groups, and allow the independent to succeed on their own. He lives in Kelowna, Canada with his wife and three daughters, two cats and two fish. He wears Phonak Lumity 90 RL hearing aids and uses Roger when needed in noisy social engagements. He understands the needs of the consumer and professional and provides services to both at hearo.ca and ossicle.ca, both part of the Hearo Hearing Hub.
